Diaries should always be kept secret.

The purpose of diaries and secrets, from my point of view. A diary is probably the most "secret place" in the entire world; because you're keeping your own thoughts, etc., all to yourself, until you decide otherwise, which brings me back to (auto) biographies/memoirs, as mentioned previously. The secrecy within diaries and the human creative expression is connected to intimacy, and it is vital since you own and write in this book daily, and no one else knows about it but you. This is why a diary is one way in which you can creatively express yourself freely without noise or interference from anyone or anything. You don't have to be a seasoned professional author to do  this exercise in your own place, and on your own time, time being one essential factor that we lose on a daily basis getting older. People have been known to buy locks and/or vaults for their personal diaries, this gives a further sense of privacy and security, like nothing else in our lives really can....

Where are there secrets today?

As I continue with this blog, I am seemingly STILL at a crossroads in my life, maybe it's my "mid life crisis", I don't know, however; creative writing can become a struggle as well when "blocks" or lacks of focus or motivation plague an author like me. I've decided at least to break this new blog down into one specific "secret place", that being diaries. This might be a bit off topic, but I've found that those books that have and continue to have good fortune and  success have been autobiographies and/or memoirs, in which such celebrities have released very intimate details/"secrets" about their roads to fame. I recall an episode of "Everybody  Loves Raymond" in which Ray Barone becomes upset about his mother Marie reading his diary, and then she becomes dismayed about one particular line that Ray had written; "I ehat (hate) my mom". I will get into the purpose of diaries and secrets in my next post, to be con...

The best is yet to come, that's no secret, lol.

Today's post is short and hopefully sweet, enjoy, more to come in the days and weeks ahead. Here are some bonus "secret places" that could be added to my list from post number one;  breakwaters, reefs, lighthouses, elevators, the ocean floor. Let's start today however with caves; C arved from history, A lways hidden with the unknown, V iewed in surprising ways, E veryones' keen eyes in focus, S een with interest and curiousity. As a long-time creative writer, I must also add diaries and journals to my list of where I feel are secret places. Lastly for now, touching briefly on the human mind, what better place is there anywhere to keep and hide secrets?, think about it, until next time to all of my supporters.

Can you keep a secret?

My first official post on this, my newest blog; also, on this first official day of autumn for 2025 will feature 100 locations that I believe to be "secret places". I define a secret place as an inner or outer environment or experience in our lives. Today's post will simply be a list of said 100 locations, take this for what's it worth, and I hope my long-time readers and supporters will enjoy this blog.
